Retail Manager Europe & APAC (m/w/d)

The Retail Manager Europe & APAC is responsible for the overall MYKITA Retail Business of all MYKITA owned and operated and Franchise Shops within Europe and Asia. At the current stage, the territory includes the following Shops: Berlin West, Berlin Mitte, Hamburg, Munich, Barcelona, Zurich, Tokyo, Osaka, Taipei & Bangkok.
All actions of the Retail Manager aim to increase the overall shop appearance, staff motivation and expertise, service quality, sales performance and customer experience for a successful MYKITA retail business.
The Retail Manager Europe & APAC has direct authority over the Shop Managers of all MYKITA owned and operated Shops. The Retail Manager Europe & APAC reports directly to the Head of Retail Europe & APAC.


  • Serve as the point of contact between the MYKITA HQ and the Shop Managers in all concerns
  • Keep constant communication with Shop Managers and the shop team to ensure frequent exchange of relevant information for Shop and HQ
  • Create KPI and sales targets for each O&O Shop and manage results with Shop Managers to support sales performance and meet sales targets
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly performance reports together with global Retail Team
  • Evaluate and improve portfolio profitability of product lines together with Shop Managers and global retail team
  • Responsible of execution of all MYKITA retail guidelines and standards within the shops
  • Management, within her region, of issues with team, product, shop appearance, sales performance, customer satisfaction to eliminate discrepancy of desired condition
  • Search for areas of improvement of the overall shop appearance and performance and ensure its execution in cooperation with respective departments in the MYKITA HQ
  • Steer the recruitment process (from scouting, to interview, to selection) for shop staff together with HR to secure most qualified candidates and best team constellation
  • Organize and execute a condensed introduction training for newly hired retail employees, within the responsible region.
  • Train, monitor and develop all team members in company and brand knowledge, product knowledge, sales and service skills to maximize the professional expertise of every shop team
  • Institutionalize frequent in-house trainings to train new contents and close the gap of status and expected skill set of all staff members
  • Maintain and develop tools to train the MYKITA Retail members
  • Work on a globally scalable training concept and contents together with MYKITA retail team and ensure its future roll-out (incl. a train-the-trainer approach)


  • Based in Berlin. Remote work some days a week is an option if the work allows it
  • Strategic and commercial mindset with hands-on mentality
  • Excellent communication, relationship and people management skills
  • Ability to build, coordinate and execute active trainings
  • Ability to work independently and organize / manage complex fields of work
  • Ability to lead by example based on motivation, passion and commitment
  • Experience in project management
  • Flexibility to travel frequently and spontaneously
  • Fluent in English and German, additional language preferred
  • Education or equivalent experience in the optical field and/or luxury industry
