MYKITA + Maison Martin Margiela on the streets of Berlin

Marie and Stephan are a fine example of a Berlin couple with just the right amount of bohemian flair. We photographed the stylish couple in Berlin’s Mitte district wearing the new MYKITA + Maison Martin Margiela sunglasses.

Marie is part of the marketing team at the MYKITA HAUS and Stephan, her long-time boyfriend, is a film director who counts "MYKITA MYLON: The future look of sports" among his projects. They arrived in Berlin almost a year and a half ago, when they decided to change the classic elegance of Hamburg, a city located between the Alster lakes and the Elbe River, for the gritty glamour of the German capital.

In the photo Stephan is wearing MMESSE006, one of the sun frames part of the MYKITA + Maison Martin Margiela ESSENTIAL collection:

The MYKITA + Maison Martin Margiela ESSENTIAL collection is a range of stainless steel frames reduced to the raw material, no additive components. A thick, transparent powder coats and seals the frames giving the entire construction a convex, all-enveloping body. Inspired by historical shapes of the last century, the monochrome frames and matching mirrored lenses lend the models a pure, radical look. The collection comprises six unisex styles, each of them available in four colour ways: Gold, Silver, Copper, and Black.

Lovely Marie posed elegantly in MMDUAL002, a sunglasses from the MYKITA + Maison Martin Margiela DUAL COLLECTION:

The MYKITA + Maison Martin Margiela DUAL collection comprises two pairs of acetate frames. Each of them born of one form, but divided into pairs and deconstructed. Mutual transplantation leaves each couple comprising two complementary designs – but with four independent identities. The 4 unisex styles are each available in 5 colour ways: Black/Grey, Nude/Black, Blue/Navy Blue, Brown/Copper Brown, Grey/Light Grey.

MYKITA + Maison Martin Margiela is already available at selected Maison Martin Margiela boutiques, all MYKITA Shops and the MYKITA E-Shop.
