CARE GUIDE

MYKITA frames are engineered from high-quality materials, designed to stand the test of time. With just a bit of care, you can keep them looking their best for years to come. Each pair comes with a microfibre cloth for easy cleaning and a hard case for safe storage.

To keep your frames in prime condition, remember the basics: keep them cool, dry, and protected. While our frames and lenses are known to be durable, it’s best to avoid exposing them to extreme heat or direct sunlight, such as on a car dashboard, as this can affect the colour and shape over time, especially for acetate models. Our stainless steel frames are valued for their sturdy resilience, but moisture – particularly from sea water – can be a concern. Make it a habit to store your glasses in their case, and if they happen to get wet, dry thoroughly with your microfibre cloth.

How To Clean Your Frames: Material-Specific Eyewear Care
While the basics apply to all MYKITA frames, here are a few differences to keep in mind depending on the material:

STAINLESS STEEL
Wipe down regularly with your cloth, avoiding harsh cleaners or running water. For a more thorough clean, or if your frames need adjustments, visit a MYKITA store or selected retailer.

ACETATE
Clean with your microfibre cloth and keep away from high temperatures (over 40°C/104°F). If the shine starts to fade, our shops can professionally polish the frames for you.

MYLON®
A quick wipe will handle most cleaning, but for more stubborn dirt or makeup, use warm water and a soft brush with mild soap. Avoid solvents or alcohol-based cleaners, which can damage the material.

CARING FOR YOUR LENSES
The simplest way to keep your lenses in top shape is to always place your glasses with the lenses facing up. Lenses are sensitive to chemicals – skip the soap and use a specialist lens spray like Zeiss Cleaning Solution, gently wiping with a microfibre cloth.
