MEET THE HAUS: TOBIAS, RETAIL

Essentially the person responsible for getting the glasses on the shelves of MYKITA Shops around the world, Tobias has been at MYKITA for six years, supporting the shops as the retail administration manager. Here he gives insight into what makes his MYKITA day go around and shares his impressions of the MYKITA HAUS.

What does a retail administration manager do at MYKITA HAUS?

I see our shops through the setup process, from location scouting, checking of commercial viability to the final hand-over of keys. I’m also involved in the optometric preparations for the MYKITA Shop concept and support with the administrative and operational business process, especially product supply. My wonderful team and I are something like the backbone of the shops.

What is on your desk right now?

It’s pretty tidy actually. I try to keep a neat desk so I don’t feel overwhelmed by too much work. But there is of course my iPhone, a few Post-its, a big water glass and my very essential chewing gum – I’m addicted.

What inspires you professionally?

The diversity in music, the diversity of faces, the ocean and the beauty of nature, my family, the complexity of global politics and of course every newly opened MYKITA Shop. It gives customers access to high-end international optics. That inspires me every day.
