2014 was meant to be a year full of surprises. While there are still a few details pending for the new MYKITA collection to be done, here is a first preview of MYKITA‘s eyewear for the summer season.

A subtle-chic flair, inspired by the sartorial taste of style conscious New Yorkers, is brought to us in the form of GREENE, MERCER, SPRING and THOMPSON, the new models of the DECADES SUN collection named after streets in the SoHo district of New York. 

The models MERCER and GREEN are distinguished by the contrast between traditional shape and unconventional surface. The milky appearance of the glassbead-blasted frames in combination with gold laminated lenses brings about a laid-back elegance. Bottle-green Misty Green, powder blue Misty Blue, light-brown Taupe, silk-matte Grey and Black are the colours of these panto frames for summer 2014.

In the design of model ROALD the emphasis lies in the play of lines. As if drawn by hand, the upper bridge seamlessly connects with the frame in an unchanging line width.

The contoured surfaces emerge more clearly through the interplay of colour combinations including Silver / Black, Gold / Terra and Copper / Black, calling the cool sports look of the 1930s to mind.
