INTRODUCING: DD1.4 AND THE SCULPTURAL EVOLUTION
The aesthetic of the MYKITA/Damir Doma collection is all about visible construction and a progressive use of materials. The well-known aviator shape is given an avant-garde makeover, propelling this classic into modern times and providing a foundation for the design language of the DD1 series.
MYKITA / Damir Doma DD1.4
The properties of acetate, a voluminous material composed of cotton and coloured pigments, are shown to their full effect in DD1.4, the second instalment of the MYKITA/Damir Doma DD1 series. Clever use of the material achieves a sculptural look. The delicately rounded contours, which seem to overlap in the front part of the frame, are a subtle reference to the signature layering in Doma’s designs.
Drawing inspiration from the colour palette of Damir Doma’s autumn/winter 2014-15 collections, the MYKITA/Damir Doma DD1.4 comes in three colourways, Black fitted with black lenses, Chocolate Chips with brown lenses and the transparent Limpid with mirrored Misty Green lenses.
All MYKITA/Damir Doma frames are fitted with tinted lenses from the German manufacturer Zeiss. DD1.4 is already available at all MYKITA Shops, selected opticians, fashion stores, the Damir Doma flagship store in Paris, and online at the MYKITA E-Shop.
