OBJECTS OF PERSONAL SPACE: MYKITA | RIMOWA SPRING 2026

Faces of the campaign: German talents Nina Hoss and Leon Dame, known for their distinctive presence in film, theatre and fashion.

For Spring 2026, MYKITA and RIMOWA present a new campaign for their collaborative eyewear collection, photographed by Venetia Scott and featuring German actress Nina Hoss and Berlin-born model Leon Dame. Set within the restrained atmosphere of an audition or rehearsal space, the campaign explores the discipline that lies behind artistic expression: concentration, repetition and the subtle tension between public and private.

Both talents bring practices shaped by dedication and a clear personal language. Their presence reflects the spirit of the collaboration itself – a meeting of distinct disciplines where engineering, craftsmanship and character come together.

A LANGUAGE OF PRESENCE

German actress Nina Hoss is recognised for performances that combine emotional precision with restraint, including Todd Field's Tár (2022) with Cate Blanchett, or most recently Nia DaCosta's Hedda (2025). Across film, theatre and television, she has built a body of work defined less by overt drama than by control – the ability to communicate complexity through the smallest shift in expression.

Berlin-born model Leon Dame, by contrast, brings a more overt physicality. Known for his singular runway presence, he has turned modelling into a form of performance, using movement, posture and gesture to create character.

Together, they embody different approaches to presence: stillness and expression, observation and performance.

BETWEEN PUBLIC AND PRIVATE

The rehearsal space exists somewhere between preparation and exposure. It is a place where gestures are tested, identities are refined and moments of vulnerability remain partially concealed.

Within this environment, eyewear takes on a particular role. Sunglasses can shield emotion, create distance or offer a brief sense of privacy within a shared space. They become more than accessories: objects that shape how a person is seen, while allowing something to remain unseen.

This tension between visibility and concealment runs throughout the campaign. Eyewear becomes part of the choreography of everyday life – a functional object that also offers protection, distance and control.

ENGINEERING THE EVERYDAY OBJECT

That balance between function and expression lies at the centre of the MYKITA | RIMOWA collaboration.

Rooted in a shared German heritage of engineering and craftsmanship, the partnership combines MYKITA’s expertise in stainless steel eyewear with RIMOWA’s signature anodised aluminium design language. Designed between Berlin and Cologne and handcrafted at MYKITA HAUS in Berlin, the HERITAGE series integrates aluminium rings into the frame structure, adding both stability and a distinctive visual identity.

For Spring 2026, the collaboration introduces new additions to the HERITAGE series, including Clay Green – a tone-on-tone matte khaki colourway paired with Raw Brown Gradient lenses – alongside the new MR006 silhouette, a refined teardrop aviator.
