Limited Artist Edition created with seminal Korean painter Park Seo-Bo: A deep appreciation for the process of craftsmanship and a shared sense of refined minimalist aesthetics connect the worlds of MYKITA and Park Seo-Bo. Our collaborative project transports the most iconic colours from the artist’s famous monochromes onto wearable eyewear pieces. Each colour style is one of 333 limited pieces.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Park Seo-Bo (1931–2023) was a leading figure in the Dansaekhwa movement, which transformed Korean contemporary art in the 1970s. His Écriture series embodied the movement's philosophy of "emptying out" the self through repetitive actions. Integrating Korean Hanji paper and nature's colors, his later works conveyed healing. In 2021, he was awarded the Republic of Korea’s Order of Cultural Merit for his contributions to global art history.

LIMITED ARTIST EDITION
The collaboration with MYKITA was the last project Park Seo-Bo worked on personally, and he approached it with his signature enthusiasm and consideration. For the artist edition, he chose an archetypal round frame with an elegantly curved nose bridge. This minimal form serves as the canvas for custom color tones, meticulously blended to match his vibrant Écritures. Each frame comes with a certificate of authenticity and special packaging made from traditional Korean hanji paper. The branded case includes a limited-edition cleaning cloth featuring the artwork that inspired the colorway.
